1997 AZK A4

The limited edition featured several changes from cosmetics to the mechanicals. From the inside, all wood panels were replaced by carbon fibre. The standard shift knob was replaced with one in brushed aluminium. On the exterior, the A4 now wore carbon fibre skirt all around (front, sides, and back). It also gained a spoiler above the rear glass window.

The footware was now 245/40ZR-17 on OZ 8Jx17 wheels. Custom Koni shock absorbers were installed, with Eibach coil springs. The front also got beefier stabilizer bar. The suspension lowered the car enough that there was only 9cm of ground clearance (Japanese market got 2cm of additional ground clearance) for better downforce at autobahn speeds. In the engine compartment, the ECU was replaced with AZK's. The stock KKK K14 was swapped out in favour of K16. Together with low-restriction air filter and replacement of exhaust system from the cat back, AZK A4 now produced 240bps at 5800rpm with 29.6kg-m at 2350rpm. This translated to 0-100km/h of 6 seconds flat, with top speed of 246km/h. And like the stock A4 I4t, the turbo lag was minimized through reprogrammed ECU.
